Theatre Poster—Music Man
Original Artwork. Poster designed for Middlesex Community College's Theater Department's spring production. I hand painted individual pieces with watercolor and then uploaded to collage, complete further painting, and shadows digitally.
Vision: I worked to capture the era the original play was cast for, circa 1912.
I also wanted to portray a sense of softness with the paint choices, creating stage light to give a sense of place and depth (with the light yielding a dual meaning: illuminating the librarian's hair, who is on to Harold Hill's scheme, the light also casting Hill's alter ego in the shadow).
